How to Enable Cookies
To sign up for sessions, cookies must be enabled in your browser.
What is a cookie? According to
Merriam-Webster Online a cookie is a "small part of a file
stored on a World Wide Web user's computer, created and subsequently read by a Web site server, and containing
personal information (as a user identification code, customized preferences, or a record of pages visited.)
Internet Explorer 6.0 and 7.0
- From the Menu Bar, choose "Tools"
- Choose "Internet options"
- Choose "Privacy" tab
- Slide bar to "medium"
FireFox 1.5.0.1
- From the Menu Bar, choose "Tools"
- Choose "Options"
- Click on the "Privacy" icon
- Click on the "Cookies" tab
- Be sure there is a check in the box beside "allow sites to set cookies"
FireFox 1.0
- From the Menu Bar, choose "Tools"
- Choose "Options"
- Choose "Privacy"
- Click on the "+" sign to open the Cookie folder
- Make sure there is a check mark in the "allow sites to set cookies" box
- Click "OK"
Mozilla 1.7
- From the Menu Bar, choose "Tools"
- Choose "Cookie Manager"
- Be sure that "Use Default Cookie Permissions" has a bullet beside it
- If it does not, then click beside this option
- If successful, you will see a confirmation message
Netscape 7.1
- From the Menu Bar, choose "Tools"
- Choose "Cookie Manager"
- Make sure "Unblock cookies from this site" is greyed out
- If it is not, then choose "Block cookies from this site"
- If successful, you will see a confirmation message
